Emberwood now open
There’s smoke in the air when you walk in. Spice, wood, a trace of rosemary. The fire’s lit, and the room is ready.

Emberwood finally officially opens its doors today.
We’ve kept the menu simple, but everything’s been thought through.
Beef shin pie with cavolo nero and stout. Cornish hake with fennel and samphire. Bavette with green chilli and fries that demand fingers. Scallops roasted in their shells. Carrots that taste of flame. A proper parfait. Croquettes with punch.
What's for pudding?
Maybe it’s the chocolate mousse with cocoa nib brownie and tarragon ice cream. Or rhubarb with custard and white chocolate. Possibly the tarte tatin, still warm, with a scoop that melts before it hits the plate.
And yes, there’s a trolley. Cheesecake, charlotte cake, yuzu choux bun. It doesn’t wait to be chosen. It comes to you.
Something to sip?
The drinks deserve a mention. A martini trolley rolls to your table. Cocktails are stirred, not shown off. There are low and no-alcohol drinks with just as much care behind them. And a wine list with favourites and quiet surprises.
Come for dinner. Stay for a drink. Stay for more than one pudding. No judgement here.
We’ll have the fire on for you.
