Out take on the grand institution

Served with a hint of theatre from the trolley.

The menu

We've taken our approach to our city's Georgian culture, and this particular brand of indulgence. Where modern pastry, from Chef Pâtissier Dominique Bon meets proper tea, hand-blended from Gillards of Bath, and the only agenda is enjoying both.

A platter of sandwiches, with our heath at the centre, rare roast beef and homemade horseradish or beetroot jam and roasted red pepper sandwiches, accompanied by classic warm scones served with strawberry jam and clotted cream.

Then, the trolley rolls up with colours of the time, matcha and azuki bean roll, foraged black forest gateau, a moment for selection, because picking what defines the occasion.

Book your table, settle in, and remember what it feels like to have absolutely nowhere else to be.
